Seal Beach Polar Plunge
This is the Annual Seal Beach Police Association Polar Plunge to Benefit Special Olympics Southern California. (usually in February). The Seal Beach Police Department has long been a fundraising partner with Special Olympics Southern California <http://www.sosc.org> . This is annual Plunge and we hope to raise $50,000 for Special Olympics athletes! ALL PROCEEDS will be given directly to Special Olympics Southern California

All You Can Eat Crab Feed
Hosted by the Seal Beach Police Officers Association has long been a fundraising partner with Special Olympics Southern California. This is the inaugural Crab Feed, part of the Polar Plunge weekend in Seal Beach. Raffle & Dancing immediately

Classic Car Show
T he Annual Seal Beach Car Show is held in April every year for the past twenty years and offers the opportunity for the experts to show their wears. Some cars are total refurbished, many are originals, and a load of specialties like the hot rods, army jeeps, and every a collection of pickups are shown! More than 400 hot rods, race cars and other custom classics will line the streets of downtown Seal Beach from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event includes a pancake breakfast hosted by the Seal Beach Host Lions Club and a pinewood derby competition hosted by the Boy Scouts. Children will be invited to create thank-you cards that will be sent to U.S. soldiers overseas through Grace Community Church’s “Support Our Troops” program. Car show admission is free; city parking lots are $6 all day

Annual Fish Fry
The Fish Fry, hosted by the Seal Beach Lions Club, has been a favorite summer event (usually in July) for residents and visitors from surrounding community for more than 60 years! The lions club serves up a great bash with yummy fish and chips, sodas & beer and great music.

Japan-America Kite Festival
Japan America Kite Festival ® is an annual event that attracts over 6,000 visitors (usually in October). Since its inception, the festival has grown to become the largest kiting event of its kind in Southern California! It also has an international reputation as the most “Family Friendly” kiting event. The Festival is dedicated to educating the general public about Japan and Japanese culture through the traditional art form of Japanese kite making. The festival showcases traditional and modern Japanese kites as well as other kites from all over the world. Visitors experience “hands-on” fun, including cultural events and activities, such as free Japanese sode “kimono” kite workshops for children, Japanese kite exhibits, taiko drum performances, traditional Japanese “festival” foods, and much more! www.kiteclub.orb

Seal Beach Annual Christmas Parade
The 29th annual Seal Beach Christmas/Holiday Parade will bring city officials, marching bands, organizations and businesses to the Old Town area for a community gathering that draws thousands of spectators each year. The procession will take entrants in cars, on floats and by foot three blocks down Main Street, from the Seal Beach Pier to Pacific Coast Highway. Up to 15,000 people are expected to watch the parade from the sidelines on a yearly basis.
